TEANUS 15,962 Posted 4 hours ago Share Posted 4 hours ago I’m really gutted that it seems we will be left without at least one official remix of all the songs except for Abracadabra, plus the acoustic versions of Disease. Even Joanne era had more remixes… I’m not really counting the upcoming Requiem versions as I’m speaking more DJ mixes. When I look at Gaga’s performance as a dance/electronic artist in the US, her albums are wildly successful, but an obscene amount of her singles have missed the peak of the dance charts. There’s no good reason songs like The Dead Dance shouldn’t be getting spammed in the gay clubs (especially when it was released for Halloween), and I think a huge factor missing is the lack of marketable, kick-a$$ remixes the last few eras. Chromatica was a step in the right direction (even though they were usually released too late or randomly) I desperately wanted hard EDM takes of Disease and Abracadabra and feel like a DJ could’ve done a great remix of TDD that could’ve given it more oomph What are your thoughts on the lack of DJ remixes, especially this era? Do you miss the days of every single having a remix EP? If it were a project like Dawn of Chromatica that’d be cool to have but we’re getting Requiem soon which sounds like a much more interesting project. Disease Antidote and Poison + Abra, Vanish and Perfect Celebrity acoustic have been amazing versions that I can’t wait to see what Requiem will be like, I hope we get the audio on Apple Music too.
