Never bought the hype. He played one character decently adequately because he didn't have to do much (Little Women) and that's as good as it got imo

Ironically, the barriers for opera and ballet are the same barriers that are making movies a dying art form: catering towards elite tastes (i.e., executives and shareholders) and prohibitive ticket and concession prices, which drives away general audiences. Both art forms and industries need a reckoning and need to be more democratized.

I think the barriers for opera and ballet are the artforms themselves. I believe they have no place in 21st century. The sooner they die the better.
