Idk I get the sentiment and I’m an atheist so I basically agree with you about the harms and irrationality of religion, but I also do think that people in power using the language of religion to try to change the minds of people who interpret religion in a more bigoted way can genuinely be positive. I can respect people who are religious insofar as their understanding of it isn’t designed around bigotry or acquiring power or control over others and Talarico’s interpretation of Christianity seems very egalitarian and sincere to me, so it doesn’t raise any red flags for me personally lol.

As far as the “defending the legacy” comment, all I was saying was that it seemed like you were beefing up Crockett’s credentials just to knock Talarico and weren’t really arguing based on substance.

but just compare her seats on the several (progressive) committees shes on & the bills she has penned that then became law compared to James... 

i saw her as the better candidate because of her experience and willingness to fight back and had she run elsewhere but Texas (or FL) she would have won, imo

i see James winning as a safe bet for TX which is why i said this feels like people just wanting more of the same 

but dont mind me, i'll keep sipping on haterade alone in the vip

From what I’ve seen, his record is more progressive than hers and idk, even though he’s white and Christian, I still think him being progressive will def make it an uphill battle. Either way, I respect your right to practice hateration and holleration in this dancery, sister. No hard feelings whatsoever xoxo

id also like to quickly say that people SHOULD vote for James this November and NOT protest vote against him because that would be insane and completely ass backwards
