Not being able to attend the Mayhem Ball broke my tour streak. This amazing news will probably extend it even more. Congrats, Gaga.

This is basically a record of how much you can charge a show and still sellout. A disservice to the fans and nothing to celebrate imo. The copacabana record is much more of a celebration tbh.

Throwback to everyone being amazed at artists breaking MJ's tour gross records when his biggest tour (adjusted for inflation) had an average ticket price of $70

And I can't find any verified data on what Taylor grossed in Australia for the Eras tour dates. Which is likely why she isn't recorded here - with prior tours she'd only hit around $50mil. So she has definitely beat it, but its not publicly verified.

Again, I made a typo, didn't even notice I'd omitted a zero. I need to stop tying so late when I'm tired.  Yeah, it is odd that we can't get specifics for Taylor when she clearly sold out every date and we always got all her tour info before. She's reported on attendances but not revenue which is odd considering it was literally the most successful tour of all time so what does she have to hide?

And if Madonna made that tour today, she'd charge more into the bargain! I suppose by that point, she'd not properly toured Asia for a while so that's why she had so many people wanting to see her. Of all the tours that that could've been the highest gross for a western female in Asia, I would never have guessed it was that one. Wild that it wasn't Taylor with her 10 combined stadium dates in Asia. But maybe it's because individual grosses weren't officially announced?
