Has Taylor really not had the same touring power in Australia as Gaga and Pink? I thought she always toured there and always made a lot of money, yet Gaga and Pink are the only women to gross over $10 million there? And I had no idea that Mayhem was the most successful concert for a western female artist in history, especially given the Singapore shows weren't counted. A total win of course but I just hope its all been fact checked. And to do this nearly 18 years into her career? A living legend, certified diva, queen of pop. Taylor's team did not release the specific date-by-date tour grosses 34 minutes ago, StrawberryBlond said: To be fair, she toured there every time so by the time she had one flop album, it ruined it all, so she had to build up crazy demand by not touring there for years. She missed out 2 entire eras and 3 if you count ASIB, 4 if you count L4S, not to mention things in between like HMH and Bloody Mary becoming a delayed viral hit. That's the ultimate reason she was able to pull these numbers. The fact is, she probably won't go there next tour as she's exercised demand. Very few non-Australian artists can go there every tour unless they're Pink or Taylor. I don't think that's how that works, ARTPOP was an underperformance everywhere yet there are places that she hasn't skipped since It's a combination of touring in general being far more lucrative now than it was back then, and her being far more respected than she has ever been + new commercial peak! Also this is the official source for tour grosses!

But I'm shooketh that Rebel Heart grossed that much in Asia because looking at it stat by stat, it doesn't look like that much. And for an album that has hardly made a worldwide impact, that's really something. But yeah, not adjusted for inflation explains it a bit better. 17 minutes ago, nodandsmile said: Taylor's team did not release the specific date-by-date tour grosses I don't think that's how that works, ARTPOP was an underperformance everywhere yet there are places that she hasn't skipped since It's a combination of touring in general being far more lucrative now than it was back then, and her being far more respected than she has ever been + new commercial peak! Also this is the official source for tour grosses! I did think it was odd. Considering she sold out every date on the most successful tour of all time, how come her team couldn't provide every stat? For bragging rights if nothing else. Concerts that haven't sold out have given us detailed stats. I understand why specifics aren't given when a tour is underperforming (which is why I think we still haven't got the rest of Katy's stats back) but when its smashing records? Bizarre. I know she still toured in places she always goes to with underperforming albums but Oceania's just one of those places where you can only tour now and again, just like LatAm, Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa. Not quite as extreme as those places, but close enough. Just 2 major countries with reasonably small populations means that you have to build up demand first and because it's so far away is such a time zone change, causes such jet lag, etc. you have to stay out there for a while, usually doing a lot of arena shows. Consequently, it takes up too much time. Going all that way to do a short run of just 5 stadium shows just to fly straight back to the US is only acceptable if you're making monster bucks.

The P!nk & Gaga record is $100mil gross across all Aussie shows not $10mil. And I can't find any verified data on what Taylor grossed in Australia for the Eras tour dates. Which is likely why she isn't recorded here - with prior tours she'd only hit around $50mil. So she has definitely beat it, but its not publicly verified. Quartz 12,655
I'd be more impressed with attendance numbers, not gross profit tbh. Like she's already rich enough. If she can make her shows more accessible, bringing joy to more people and countries, I think that would be more impactful. Inside, we are really made the same. 🕊
