LG8: Introspective Electronica vs. Campy Jazz?

Mayhem is coming to a close it appears.

 

If you had to choose between two styles for Gaga's next artistic direction, where would you go? 

 

A trance/ravey/deep electronica album. Not necessarily just an "EDM" record...more like something introspective in the vein of Rufus Du Sol, John Summit, SG Lewis, and Gesaffelstein? Maybe something tinged with politics a little more again because she has avoided that for too long? I still feel like we havent gotten a serious electronica album from Gaga. 

OR

Does Gaga finally go for the jazz- but maybe make it fun? Something swingy and big bandy and takes the genre in a direction that is more uplifting? The Laufey-Raye-Olivia Dean world is there now and maybe it's time for Gaga to take a solo stab at it. I think this could also oppose the darkness of Mayhem in a light way.

I'm not trying to be stiff or a butt head, and I LOVE IT when she experiments. But for an entire album concept I actually hate the idea of not committing to a sound. One of the things I hate about Mayhem is how it obviously sounds like three albums smashed together. 

I feel like saying I want an introspective album and also something campy is kind of.....

 

you know what. **** it. let their be a campy jazz introspective album. I don't know wtf that sounds like. All I can think of is Jamiroquai but hey.....werk.

Dark pop....but actually dark.

Mayhem is camp dark. 

If she goes that way....I want.....actually deep dark.

An opposite of Chromatica. Dark sounds, esoteric and  earthly collective themes with happy lyrics and encouragement. Basically Hope themed.

Would love for her to go electronica/trance/ravey, however I don’t think that will happen as it is starting to be very integrated in pop music and trending. She kinda go the opposite way… 

 

So tbh, I think she might go Electronic Jazz and RnB…

 

But imagine Melodic Dubstep, Bass and even Phonk with New Age!!!!

Introspective electronica sounds like Ray Of Light, so I'll go for this rather than jazz which is a snooze fest for me.

Next era needs to be a break from “dark pop” tbh. The hype and success from this era should be enough to carry momentum to the next era.

I want something original. I don't want rehashes of other albums. Everyone would want something like ARTPOP, Chromatica, or Born This Way, but that won't happen. A new era will mean a new experience and new sound. I expect something not as dark as MAYHEM, but something lighter and more meaningful. There will definitely be pop, but it will be pop-rock.
