palma 8,909 Posted March 12 Share Posted March 12 Pretty sure Gaga was a bit hyper vigilant (this is around the time Tony’s health started to decline iirc) and it rubbed Liza the wrong way. I never heard from anyone that she’s a rude person so I little reason to believe Gaga and the Oscars orchestrated this whole thing to make Liza look bad and Gaga look like a saint. Working/dealing with elders is quite difficult. They often overestimate their abilities, and are VERY easily offended. Is there some reason my LG7 isn't here? It sounds very odd, and I’m not just saying that as a fan; it just doesn’t add up because it doesn’t seem likely that Gaga would have had the foresight to anticipate Liza’s struggle once they got on stage with the wheelchair? Before they came into contact, it seemed like there was a lot of she-said/she-said instead of direct communication. Yeah maybe for one day then everyone would forget it, and she could come out and show everyone she was fine... Like who cares? Let's remember that he is a terrible OGH and that at the same time he is trying to milk Liza by making versions that use her AI-generated voice. This is no exception. Gaga's intentions were probably innocent, but i can totally tell how a moment on stage like that could be very embarrassing for someone who's accomplished so much in their life. While I agree if true, there's just nothing to back this claim up, gaga isn't known for this type of behavior and it's weird that it suddenly happens with Liza for a presentation at the oscars that would probably be forgotten soon after, gaga didn't need to use liza for a weird publicity stunt also why didn't Liza say something before this? Also from the show producers point of view if something had happened (e.g a fall) the Oscar’s would’ve been trashed into oblivion for not following a duty of care. At the same time if Liza was confident and happy no one should force her to do anything so I understand she might feel her agency was taken away. Ultimately it seems like one of those situations where they were coming from different places and probably had good intentions.
