It’s Talarico vs Crockett!

I personally don’t think Crockett has any chance to win the general.

Talarico has a better chance, but it’s Texas. I doubt either one flips the state.

I knew it was between the two of them, the last thing I caught was their debate (I was so relieved to be bored by something political lmao)

Makes sense though :bradley:

Dems have gotten close! MAGA districts are flipping by crazy numbers this year and last year, you never know. I don't have my hopes up but I'm ready to be surprised.

Ever since they announced the cancellation, Colbert just gives no f**** anymore, and it's been awesome to watch. This season, he's greater than ever, and hopefully he will move on to another platform or go back to Comedy Central.

This is hilarious haha. Democrats being all over the place again tho, with no unified candidate for Texas on the other hand is just destined to fail lol

It’s a primary, diva lol. They haven’t selected the candidate who’s gonna run against the GOP in the general yet and the election isn’t until November.

I mean, if Trump had his way, opposing him would be illegal, so that should answer your question lol

Crockett is an unmitigated disaster tbh. The fact that her first ad was just b roll footage of her face with Trump talking about her? Get REAL. Orange Man Bad ain’t a good enough message to flip fckn TX lmao

I mean, the answer is: the FCC can try to impose fines for certain types of political content if they feel it’s not equal representation, but if they tried to impose fines over this interview, they’d probably lose in court. But, because CBS is owned by David Ellison (Trump ally) and the Editor in Chief is Bari Weiss (Trump ally), they pulled it because they’re in bed with the admin and used the FCC fine threat as an excuse.

I hope he is remembered fondly and forever for standing his ground and speaking out against the administration! I hope he continues to be a voice after they end the show

He explains it here:

Basically, the FCC has a rule that you have to give equal coverage to all candidates in an election on radio and broadcast TV. Trump's goons control the FCC so they're weaponizing that against anyone who gives Democrats a platform, this one in particular 'cause he has a non-zero chance at unseating John Cornyn in Texas for a senate seat.

The View was punished specifically for having Talarico so CBS preemptively pulled the plug on Colbert's interview so they wouldn't be fined for it.

Colbert said "nah, f*ck y'all" and posted it on YouTube where it's gotten more attention than it ever would have if the FCC wasn't corrupt and CBS let it air as normal.

This is amazing. I wish the people who supported Trump weren’t so categorically stupid, because they’ll always find a way in their heads to justify whatever bad things they hear about him.

it’s just dumb if they want equal representation like the point of electing people is sometimes seats might get given up i mean it’s been taken up by the republicans so idk why sudden a democrat is bad like we dealt with states being red idk what is the issue with states being blue
