It can also just be as simple as "he's a fan of Gaga", or "they're friends". Didn't need all these random essays bout how "he was forced to bring her out" or "Bruno declined so they got Gaga instead". People are so dense like they didn’t even try to understand the message, or they are too dumb or close minded to get it. They just see that Gaga is white and don’t look at the bigger picture of her representing unity which was the overall theme of the show.
