I voted no because there were moments it seemed to mix awkardly. I dunno if changing the singing a bit woulda been a good idea so it could match with the salsa better?

 

But it wasnt terrible. Most of it was fine and the salsa was perfect to blend with the theme. Just thought it sounded slightly off here and there

gaga's getting mixed reactions 

a lot of ppl felt it was out of place and her dancing salsa was awkward... 

ppl are praising her voice but ya it just felt kinda out of place. 

 

however her superbowl IMO is way better than bad bunnys even tho it didnt have as much cultural significance, i think her 2017 was tighter and had her actually dancing and singing where bad bunnys didnt have that

Am I going to listen to this version in my free time? No. Am I thankful that it exists because of what it symbolizes culturally and emotionally? Yes. 

Frankly, I prefer her performing the salsa version of DWAS than the OG version because it wouldn’t fit with the show and the rough in the edges mix of her vocals and the instrumental makes it work in the context of her playing a wedding singer singing a Salsa remix of DWAS.

She sang it in the ballad rhythm, that's why. The cadence just needs to change a bit and it'd be perfect.

She said "if the world was ending, I'd wanna be next to yoooooou" (underlining where the beat hits)

But they changed the tempo and made it poppier so there should have been a couple more pauses and maybe instead of the drawn out "yooooou" something different.

"If the __ world was ending, I'd want __ to be next __ to yoooo__ooo__oo__oooou" (with _'s where the pauses are)

I'm so tempted to send you a voice memo of how this sounds in my head but I don't want the embarrassment

Yeah ye sounded off tempo and kinda flat, but she recovered very well amd the dance was the best part
