What exactly did you think you were doing there? Americano it's not a song about about fighting for LATAM immigrant rights. It's just protesting Arizona's strict immigration laws and advocating for same-sex marriage. Arizona it's not all of USA. It's just the límit with Nuevo México. And WE'RE 20 COUNTRIES FOR GOD SAKE 😒

Plena, Cumbia, Reggeaton, Rkt, Funk, etc. Mariachi it's just one. SALSA it's the base style. Diva, I’m not even Latino and even I know that’s not true lol. Salsa emerged in the 60s and is the synthesis of Plena, Cumbia, Merengue, Mambo, Rumba, and Son. Reggaeton shares rhythmic elements (Afro-Cuban rhythms), but isn’t cleanly a genre derived from salsa. So sure, salsa is a bridge that ties together a lot of different subgenres of Latin music that influenced it, but that doesn’t really justify why it wouldn’t be possible to incorporate other Latin genres that don’t have direct rhythmic ties to salsa. And again, the song isn’t called “Arizona” it’s called “Americano” because it’s using the xenophobia in AZ as an example of the racism against LATAM immigrants in the US lol. I also love how you keep (unsuccessfully) trying to flatten my argument into acting like all LATAM immigrants in the US are Mexican when you know damn well immigrants from all over LATAM cross the US/Mexico border 😭 Edited yesterday at 03:31 AM by Ladle Ghoulash We have forgotten our public MANNERS

Reggaeton has incorporated elements of tropical rhythms such as salsa, merengue, and bachata. While salsa is based on orchestral percussion (congas, timbales), reggaeton uses a syncopated, electronically produced rhythmic base. But both genres share the influence of the African diaspora and Latin identity, and are often heard in similar contexts, which has led to fusions like "salsatón." The fact that she’s been everywhere since 2024, from the Paris Olympic Games to Mayhem being a real return to form, and then the Super Bowl says so much. I have a feeling her new team has worked extremely hard on her PR and appearances in the last few years and it’s kind of incredible to see Gaga still be so relevant on such massive stages. Do you realize how many people watch the Super Bowl? It’s crazy. It really cemented her as a legend. True, and not only as a legend but a worldwide icon!! She already is, but this catapulted her way up more! I also like the idea that many people STILL dont realize what Lady Gaga looks like, and what she really does. Because that is what she is...she is a freakin chameleon! GET THOSE GRAMS GAGS
