DESTROY UR DISEASE 14,701
So we all know that Gaga is not like a typical experimental/avant-garde type of artists (however I do think that if she really wanted to - she could) like for example Björk or Arca, or SOPHIE (or anybody whose song appears on one of those "Songs That Would Give Swifties an Aneurysm" playlists) BUT - she is great at putting those different avant-garde elements into her songs while still making them sound very pop, so in the end, while they're still commercial, some of them sound pretty much like nothing that you've heard before. So which song from her discography, in your opinion, deserves the title of her most experimental one? For me I think this is gonna be Aura with an honorable mention being Americano I can smell your sickness I can...
Poltergeist 3,846
The one that starts sounding like you're riding a camel on the desert, Suddenly turns super-electronic with great (demo ) vocals, And turns into a beautiful chorus giving you chills of your lifetime Edited Thursday at 09:15 PM by Poltergeist I've been getting messages from my deep waters 5 2

hamartia 2,028
My instinct says Government Hooker given the context of the album, who Gaga was at the time, the fan base etc. It would crack me up when they'd have kids on the news talking about how BTW (the song) made them feel loved and accepted, and that Gaga was a maternal figure uplifting all these sweet kids who were being bullied, knowing that the next track on the album is about suckin and f*ckin "I lied. I lied!" (Germanotta, 2025) 8

HotLikeMexico 5,858
Imma be honest with you, Gaga is a little braver than most with pop music, but I still think she’s surface level experimental. I am waiting for Gaga to actually go the Bjork or Arca route. but among her discography. I think Aura and Swine and the outro in Sine might be her most experimental work. 9 1
