Alxjcgn 2,200
Curious to see what it is about! As much as I absolutely adore her and voted for her in the past, I really do not want her as the democratic candidate in the upcoming presidential election process. I support her so much and believe she would make a phenomenal first female president, but the country is clearly not ready and right now my belief is the democratic party needs to put out someone who is moderate enough to appeal to both sides. Donald Trump has f***ed this country up and we are going to suffer for years. We first need a president who can appeal to both sides while remaining rational/logical, law-abiding, and with an agenda that demonstrates they care for the country, just so that we have can get on the right course again (Like we were with Obama). 1

LOVEDRUG 11,274
I find the way they did this so funny. It's like a tease of a single announcement. "through all the tears and all the lies, i'm gonna dance until i feel alright" 7

Let her run. Big primaries used to be the norm in the US. It's good for the candidates to work on their platform in a race against party members. Them not having a primary was one of the bigger reasons why she lost so narrowly last time. saving people, hunting things - the family business

monstertoronto 11,754
I hate to say this because I personally would love to see a female president and a POC on top of that would be amazing. But the country is so incredibly divided right now and so conservative leaning. I really think the democrats best chance is to run someone like Canada’s Mark Carney. An old rich white guy who has experience in finance or government. So the moderate republicans who dont like what’s happening right now can still relate or even look up to him and not feel as conflicted in voting for him.

Because she has an advantage and would likely get it and I don’t think she’d win against JD Vance. 4

But we just witnessed what happened when she was the candidate and frankly a lot of us are still traumatized by the outcome/remain traumatized by the corruption. I mean this with no disrespect to her because she is brilliant, but my body physically has not been able to relax since last November. We need to try someone else because the right-side already has enough pent up hate against her and it would go the exact same way, if not worse. Not to mention, I know a good amount of people who lost faith in the democratic party because of her loss, and so we need someone who will mobilize us again with the energy we had when she was the candidate. It is horrific to say and I hate having to say it- but its the truth right now. This country is beyond broken and its going to take somebody completely new to get us out of this mess, and to a place where we as an entire country are willing to elect her or another female candidate. The country is absolutely ready for a female president, Hillary wouldn't have won the popular vote if it weren't. History has shown, however, that almost all countries' first elected female leaders are conservative. Margaret Thatcher, Sanae Takaichi, Angela Merkel, Giorgia Meloni, are just a few examples. It wouldn't surprise me if the Republican candidate at the next election is someone like Kristi Noem or Tulsi Gabbard. And if the Democrats don't pick the right candidate, it wouldn't surprise me if they win.
