Mother Mayhem, the pop queen, holding Stefani hostage as she dives head first into art and music on the music industry's biggest stage, being caged by, but also completely glorifying and relishing in the industry, all while she (Mayhem) tries to feel like she is in control of it all I love this performance so much I think the performance is also an homage to the McQueen collection the outfit comes from. The show was a pastiche of a classic Parisian couture show, with exaggerated, degenerated versions of couture silhouettes accessorized with literal pieces of trash, and the models were making demented versions of typical couture poses on the runway. That's pretty much what Gaga's doing during the performance. McQueen also incorporated robot arms in several of his shows, so even the cinematography is a throwback. This owes as much to Horn of Plenty as Bad Romance's video owes to Plato's Atlantis. Edited Monday at 07:33 PM by elijahfan 3

The amount of people dogpiling on others who say they don't like it, and then act upset when they fight back is just saddening. Some of these people are the same "we don't have to like everything she does" people too. Exhausting. There's a difference between not liking something Gaga does, and just being down right ignorant to the artistry behind it. That's what annoys people. There are many things Gaga has done that are not to my personal taste, but I still recognise and appreciate the brilliance or effort behind them. The interviewer said something like "you've done so many things, what do you want to take on next" and she almost shly said "opera". I feel like it was one of the early interviews for Mayhem. Maybe it was one where she was wearing the white outfit with the big car piece on it.. @3:57

It was a bad performance choice with a good look and that’s it. what's so special about your opinion that it overrides the majority who loved and understood the performance that we only love it just because we have to? mother, what must i do?

Well it is very much an eye for an eye on this site. If people are being harsh about something Gaga does you can understand the fans being very defensive I'm fine, Ta

I don't get it = it's objectively terrible People are free to not like it but calling it "terrible" "lazy" or "her worst performance ever" is also harsh.
