Send a pre recorded (and better) performance then. Atp considering she didn’t even get her well deserved and logical ROTY win she may as well have had the evening off the way y'all would have dragged her to hell if she pre-recorded it too lmao. Nowhere does it say that a live performance has to be seen with your bare eyes looking directly at the artist (which is an option anyway, I saw a multiple angles where you could see her well). Whatever happened to innovation and using tech to offer something alternative and interesting? She could have done yet another performance with 50 dancers and props (and slayed that as well) but she chose a whole different path for it and it was 50x more interesting. She showed up, did her thing live in front of everyone, served great fashion, great visuals (nothing about that camera work was bad, idk what you're even talking about), and great vocals, won 2 awards, but somehow it would have been better if she sat her ass home? Soft, soothing, and succulent 3

For starters the camera work was abhorrent, when you see crowd videos from the ceremony the smoke AND the camera arm blocks the majority of the audience’s view even to the front row of people. Ok but it was a made for film performance hence the screens at the Grammys to watch the choreographed camera work i swear yall have the most bland taste in performance art. If it’s not an 8 count with a huge and unnecessary set piece and oiled dancers yall don’t want it lol this was far and away her best performance in years Edited Monday at 05:15 PM by Ziggy 3
PSYCHOSHTICK 2,977
I'm so obsessed with this performance. The remix is SICK, the energy and the vocals were beyond amazing and the outfit is LEGENDARY. Such a beautiful, minimal yet impactful way of showing what she's all about and the aesthetic of the album. One of her best performances ever for sure.

It made the stage and production seem small and claustrophobic to me, like we barely see the production happening around her with the lighting and the fact she had the drummer from NIN and Andrew onstage. Plus from the distance it’s literally in her personal space. This stuff worked for Harlequin live because of the set, the lighting and stuff and the fact it has cuts. In a live performance I just don’t think it works It's interesting, beause I felt the camera work was better one we seen in a while. But also, I do get your point. had no idea she had NIN drummer there. I did like that the focus was on Gaga all the time tbh.

Like you're right in there with her. It's definitely a stylistic choice and I think it really works. I'm fine, Ta 1

She could’ve just sat and played a piano rendition of it. Y’all just love to praise everything and act like anybody who disagrees is negative. It was a bad performance choice with a good look and that’s it.

That's not at all what that was going for tho. It was robotic, not handheld. There was nothing "human" or "diary-like" about the camerawork. It was supposed to be jerky, precise and electronic 1
rinasawachanta 3,188
I insist. If you just want to follow someone who does cute TikTok dances that let you say “yass,” “work,” “slay,” and “kween,” there are THOUSANDS of mass-produced pop stars for that purpose. This is something else, deal with it.

As someone who is highly critical of her work usually and prefers her more avant garde work, this is certainly one of her best performances in years. You're clearly missing the whole point of this performance. I'm fine, Ta 4 1

I get this but there’s a time and a place, The GRAMMYs isn’t the place for this type of performance. It’s the last performance of the era to the public, she should’ve went all out as a celebration of the album. I get that she had a tight schedule but I also don’t HAVE to like the performance like all the young people on here seem to think, I’ve seen with my own eyes at her TF era shows when Gaga has little to no resources produce amazing results. This just was a bad aesthetic choice from the director
