He always been outspoken.

That does not makes him a douche.

He did not do that for controversy.

He get along well with Gaga.

As witnessed on the last VMA where she is dressing up as a man.

They were joking to each other on the seats.

Also, I kinda supported him for what he did to Taylor.

Especially today, when she seems to enjoy everybody pity

and try to make profit out of it.

So much tea tbh :tea:

I agree about the Taylor thing. Back then everyone felt bad for her and thought Kanye was an ass. But she totally capitalized from it and because a huge success because of it. I bet now a lot of people are applauding Kanye for what he did.

during a concert he went on another of his infamous legendary rants and talks about how the grammys promised he could open the show in 2010 but gave it to gaga once she got big.

no wonder he hates the show, smh. it's a popularity contest.

source would be provided soon.

And his being scheduled to open the show isn't representative of it being a popularity contest? Its not like hes not one of the most talked about rappers when theres plenty of great talent that doesn't get represented on shows such as that. Like his opening the show is no different than Gaga opening the show when you look at it from a certain lens lol

i know but it's kinda a slap in the face for a show to promise you something only to go with gaga because she was more hyped.

just shows all they wanted were ratings.

which i'm not surprised but... that was low thing to do.

and they do have a bias to hip hop.

I like his music but I really dislike his persona, what he reflects.

I really don't think he dislikes Gaga, it's just the Grammys that pissed him off (and I can understand why)

Isn't that what he said happened with the VMA's 07? He was supposed to open the show but then they chose Britney.

It wasn't just Gaga's momentum 2009-10, that was just months after the VMA incident.

TRUE. He was in a very negative place in the press at that time. They probably didn't want him to open the show not because of Gaga's fame but because of his actions.

And in that sense, it IS a popularity contest. Not that there's anything wrong with that. It's how that system works. Mass media event like that is expected to cater mostly to mass public appeal.

At the end of the day, if you're looking for quality music, look within yourself and your own tastes... not a television event. It sounds foolish to me when people complain about MTV and the Grammys as if they're supposed to have some sanctity about them. No. They're businesses.
