Chappell Roan to be honored for social justice at Resonator Awards during Grammy week

Chappell Roan will join previously announced honorees Chaka Khan, Haim, St. Vincent, Amy Allen and more at the the second annual Resonator Awards, presented by We Are Moving the Needle and taking place during Grammy Week on January 27, 2026 at Los Angeles’ iconic Chaplin Studios (formerly Henson Studios).

Fred Armisen will host the event, and along with newly announced honoree Roan — who will receive the Harmonizer Award, will be presented by Heart’s Nancy Wilson — Roger Davies, veteran music manager to Cher, Sade, Tina Turner, Janet Jackson and P!nk, will receive the Transformer Award, for his work championing artists and being a voice for positive change in the industry.

Did gaga speak out against fascism? No. Against ICE? No. Against Israel no? Do we love her? Yes. Did we celebrate whenever she did something political? Yes. Do artist have to talk about everything? No. Do we still love Gaga even if she doesnt talk about Israel or fascism because she is a human being on her way to become a mom who just want to focus on her art and health and in the mean time donate pribately with her billionaire boyfriend? THANK YOU. The amount of people I see that constantly want perfectionism on these issues is so aggravating. Chappell Roan has spoken and helped to spread awareness, and that in it's own is good enough for me.

I know right!! Like, I post a LOT about politics. But imagine being Gaga. Possibly a child coming, PTSD, having a huge career… part of growing up can be choosing to use your money privately to donate to good causes and to help people. But always being in tje picture of every societal issue… the girl struggled with suicidality, PTSD etc.. let her just withdraw from politics and speak out when she wants to. I am a 1000000% sure her therapists told her from 2013 on that she is not responsible for the world and for the way humans treat each other and that she cannot change everything. I bet she was VERYYYY burned out because of her activism. Let her breathe. Let Chappel breathe. I dont like her so much personally but apparently she is doing good activist work, and that’s great.

Why is Gaga always the go-to in threads about other artists?  So because she isn’t outspoken about some things that means any fan of hers can’t have an opinion on another artist? What kind of logic is that lol. Maybe they think neither Gaga nor Chappell deserves this award. Just because someone is a Gaga fan, doesn’t mean they follow her blindly and doesn’t mean they cannot criticize anyone else.
