All eight Grammy nominees for best new artist are set to perform on the 2026 Grammy telecast, marking the second year in a row that all eight nominees in that marquee category have had the chance to perform on Music’s Biggest Night. This year’s best new artist nominees are Addison Rae, Alex Warren, KATSEYE, Leon Thomas, Lola Young, Olivia Dean, sombr and The Marías.

While I don't think it's a particularly talented lineup, at least I've heard of most of them, which i feel like is kinda new for this category there's usually a lot of khias

I mean Bon Iver won Best New Artist in 2012, and his debut album was released in 2006. I never really understood what the criteria for this award is, I guess it has something to do with when they achieved a more mainstream success?
