I enjoy all her tours minus a few nitpicks here and there. 100% agree about the way she’s typically handled The Hits over the years, particularly the way the arrangements are never changed or how they’re just lazily cut down and treated like something to get out of the way rather than something to be revered. This was a huge issue on artRave. I also think the outfits on that tour were pretty awful.

Aesthetically speaking, The Fame Ball, Monster Ball (1.0 and 2.0 but especially 1.0), JWT, Chromatica Ball and Mayhem Ball are my favorites. I love the Born This Way Ball, but I feel like The Mayhem Ball improves on pretty much every aspect of it, in my opinion.

Let me also add that it’s such a shame that someone who is so acclaimed as a performer doesn’t seem to put any care into the legacy she’s leaving behind on that front. No live albums or commercial DVD releases for her tours. It’s just really sad and annoying as a fan that more isn't done there.

I've always found this strange. There's been live streams and HBO exclusives etc, but her tours should have had a proper DVD release.

Tbf the Btwb got curtailed by injury which impacted filming plans, the Artrave has the skype livestream but a proper procut was supposedly linked to the cancelled Terry Richardson and then the JWT got cancelled due to her having a breakdown.

So I feel like its just **** circumstances that have cost us preserved pro media of these tours.

The Fame Ball was way too short and felt more like a promo tour than a proper show crafted over The Fame

The Monster Ball 1.0 featured some of her worst vocals ever

The Monster Ball 2.0 was perfect if you think that it was her first proper tour, and the new arrangements for some songs were fire

The Born This Way Ball was very good but it showed that her creative team still had to figure out some details when it started: the "final form" worked much better than the first one

The artRave was fun but messy and there were too many shortened songs. The stage looked insane live though

The Joanne World Tour is one of her best tours ever and her vocals were amazing

Chromatica Ball was objectively a good show, visually striking and the walk among the public during Free Woman was the best part. @Blackout19 doesn't like it just because he envisioned something else and it didn't happen.

The Mayhem Ball is, choreography and concept-wise, her best show. I still think Kill For Love and Summerboy should be axed and LoveGame should be replaced with 911.

Oh yeah, forgot about that even though I was at the JWT show which was filmed :huntyga:

I think it was my show anyway. Birmingham, where the stage broke!

Such bad luck though

I like the performance of Come To Mama at the Joanne tour. She was singing with a higher, more colorful voice than on the studio version giving the song a very different feeling

The Born This Way ball tour is her best tour (not sure if that's an unpopular opinion or not though)

I still haven't seen most of the Chromatica ball performances :billie: When the tour movie was released I downloaded it in HD but the audio sounds so off that I never make it past the 10 mins mark maybe.

Gaga's entrance at the Joanne and Chromatica tour were a bit disappointing

Disease and Poker Face at the Mayhem ball are part of her top 10 best tour performances imo

I haven't seen it at all because I want an official UK release, but I downloaded the audio the other day. Assuming it's the same audio, her voice is edited so weirdly on it :neyde:

gaga's known for her visuals and i feel like she doesnt spend the correct amount of money for her set/stage designs, her sets and stages have always felt kinda cheap to me. even the mayhem ball, its basically similar construction of the BTW castle except only a part of it, with bigger screens. not sure if its a label thing or if she doesnt feel the need to go all out for the biggest screens and best set design, but of all people, i feel like she should be the standard for set design, and she really isnt

This! I love her energy and the musicality of her shows. Visually she really isn’t doing what her peers are doing. The only interesting stage was JWT with the tilting things and projection screen that act as bridge. Her other tours need more wow moments from the stage imo

I feel like CBT and JWT were some of her thematically most inconsistent tours where I feel like the aesthetics didn't match the actual albums AT ALL. At least JWT brought some interesting stage moments where as CBT was just.. there. And also both felt more like greatest hits tours rather than promo for the album.

I wish TBTWB had screens. As amazing as the castle, lights and props were I missed some more visuals.

A thing I wish Gaga "borrowed" from Madonnas and Kylies books is the reinvention of classic hits to match the sound of the current era.

And I wish they bothered with live album releases at least. I get that most the tours got cut short due to unforeseen circumstances, but they coule have recorded several shows and them mashed together something instead of no live albims for pretty much all her eras.

you're telling me you weren't wowed by the way the chromatica ball stage looked almost completely different in each act with the simple use of screens?
