Her comments were made in response to President Maia Sandu’s statement that she would personally support reunification with Romania if such a decision were put to a referendum. Russia likes vessel states that look like they have sovereignty but gain them more say by having more „votes“. Kind of the idea of the Soviet Union. Chromanne 2,689
I just realized Moldova and Romania speak the same language Romanian. According to Russia, why do they not have a good relationship with Romania?

According to Russia, why do they not have a good relationship with Romania? well Romania is in the eu and Moldova isn't maybe Russia doesn't want Moldova in the eu for some reason? also hypothetically seizing Moldova would probably make it easier for them to seize ukraine bcuz Russia would be invading from all sides (the caucasus, belgorod, Belarus, Crimea, + Moldova) it seems that they're saying Moldova hates Romania just for the sake of it actually now that I look at it that kinda has nothing to do with what you asked but idk Edited January 18 by zevthepaparazzo Anything goes! Keeping enough percent of the population of previous soviet countries Russian to have the excuse of „saving their people from oppression“.
