The MAYHEM era has been full of surprises, such as the REQUIEM show that no one knew about.

Theres also rumors about MAYHEM (deluxe version) with additional tracks, TOTAL MAYHEM which is an EP like TFM, LG8 possibly dropping this year, or even just a standalone droplet single.

Which of these rumored projects would you like the see the most? :green:

Hard to say tbh. I’d love a couple more tracks in the vein of MAYHEM, tbh (in the sense that I love the way the album is engineered, I think she has great chemistry with the team, and whatever she was doing as her songwriting process was definitely HITTING). So all I ask is that whatever comes is on par with or maybe even better than MAYHEM.

New album, I'm tired of retro sounds. We had a retro sound on most of Chromatica and then a different type of retro sound on half of MAYHEM. I miss having a Gaga album full of songs that sound truly brand new.

I hate to break it to you, sister, but she’s been retro since day one.

As good as MAYHEM is, I'd be more excited to hear what sound she explores next. I wanna hear Gaga touch as many genres as possible.

She was very much before/during the fame, but I don't think TFM or BTW have a distinct retro sound, and neither does ARTPOP.

BTW drew from 80s hair metal and earlier euro dance... so it was retro in a lot of ways.

OT: if Total Mayhem is an EP I'm gonna need a double physical edition of the updated digital Mayhem + the EP. Also... since Mayhem: Requiem supposedly has reworked songs... I'm gonna need that live album, and give a deluxe vinyl box set

All four options would be wonderful, but I think TOTAL MAYHEM has gotta be number one. She's been on such a roll with this album creatively it would be amazing if she continued to ride that wave and do a follow up EP like TFM

I'm fine, Ta

Anything new would be a total blessing!

This is peak Gaga, it's amazing to see her so full of passion again, the more she and we get out of it, the better :kara:

Whatever she does next I hope to god she keeps making real music and stays away from the electronic nonsense.

I love ARTPOP and Chromatica exists but she shines so bright when she has real instruments and non-clinical structure behind her voice. Idc if it's a dozen more disco sounding tracks, ANYTHING other than house music :kry:

I mean, TFM is basically 90s industrial eurodance meets 80s synth pop and BTW is 70s-80s glam arena rock + 90s industrial eurodance. ARTPOP also pulls heavily from disco, 70s-80s glam rock, early y2k pop, 80s synth RNB, but probably her most “current sounding” record in terms of genre references. But if you mean that, even if they pull heavily from retro influences, they’re done in a way that doesn’t feel as much like a retro genre study, I see what you mean, but I guess that doesn’t bother me as much because I see it as being such a huge part of her musical DNA either way.

I can’t believe you had to audacity to call me elderly when you’re pulling the geriatric “electronic music isn’t real music” card 🪦
