I’ve honestly been waiting her whole career for something like that. I know mayhem is way lighter although partly influenced but not necessarily that sound. 

Yes and no…? She still did her own thing with it but was definitely inspired by it. You definitely get the vibe of those artists but with her own touch. Like she totally has been dabbling and listening to these artists. I felt she wasn’t trying to add her typical pop touch to it or appeal to the GP. This performance for me personally felt less pop than her normal stuff. I am a huge fan of goth music and industrial music and I am very happy with how she experimented with this sound for this show. I felt like DWAS was probably the more pop performance of the night but it was still very synth/dark wave similar to Kavinsky. I hope she is just testing the waters see how fans react and will continue this for LG8. But who knows. Wishful thinking on my part. 
 

On a side note, there is the goth club I sometimes go to in LA and I could totally see the DJ play this when it’s released without anybody giving this a second thought.

@Bobby It’s a disgrace how her team cuts them out (Harlequin) or does not properly release them (Chromatica) when they know that we are the fanbase that lives for that ****.

Gaga herself mentioned recently how The Monster Ball interludes had such an impact on her fanbase.

This really does sound  like a farewell to the Mayhem era (probably leading to another 3-5 year wait for another album) and i am not ready to say goodbye 

Saying that, I hope it doesn’t take too long for Apple to release this. I’m still waiting for HBO’s Chromatica Ball.

I HOPE SO! The interludes were so good. A few of them reminded me of Throbbing Gristle with Gaga’s touch.

Well, she did recently say that she’s making music still, and even teased that 2026 could be possible (but I doubt it), so don’t lose hope yet
