In fact, most of these songs sound better than the demos or the iTunes festival versions, you just got used to these first and hearing the changes was uncomfortable. The only song that should have sounded like the iTunes version is Swine, but it's still very good as it is. DWUW original version is unfortunately better than the other ones. Their voices go very well together and the chorus is heavenly. The solo version is missing something, and the version with Christina just sounds like a growling contest. Swine and MANiCURE are some of her best songs. Gypsy is one of these ballads in her discography that are overproduced and it takes away the beauty of the song. You can barely appreciate her vocals on "toniiiiiiiight". The acoustic performances on the other hand... Dope is amazing, one of her most depressing ballads, her tone on it is incredible. G.U.Y. music video is terrible and one of her worst. I feel that y'all really don't appreciate how incredible the album sounds even after all this time. I've been doing Swine, Donatella, Venus etc at karaoke and people were LIVING for it even though they didn't know much about Gaga. I even have a friend who's never liked her and doesn't like pop in general and she recently told me that she decided to listen to Swine because of this, and she loved it and now we sing it together I'll probably add more later, I have so much to say about ARTPOP. AVeryGagaHolyDick 28,028 Posted January 11 Share Posted January 11 Do What U Want did better than Venus could’ve ever dreamed of commercially The 3rd single was gonna flop anyway, so I don’t know why she chose G.U.Y. when nearly everyone was asking for Gypsy I don’t mind I Wanna Be With You being replaced with Dope lyrically and vocally, but the main problem is how the melody was altered as it’s definitely weaker on the album version. Also, where the hell is the bridge? Not really related to the album, but Volantis was a great idea that deserved to be worked on Gaga Daily is still running, I don’t know how they managed to let LittleMonsters.com flop, it almost had a million users Do What U Want ft. The Fame has more arte that whatever this thing was. Also, Applause is her worst lead, a self referencing song, worth of an egomaniac, that's why Roar won back then. Also it created the worst fans, I remember some weird fans on tumblr saying that the most artistic thing Gaga would do during that era was d*e.
