I hate living in this Bizarroworld in which we have found ourselves…there’ll be no meaningful action by anyone in our government because these kids aren’t “the right type” of victim. I’m so tired and feel more insane daily…

I've said it since day one - this mass roundup of undocumented children is to aid s*x trafficking. They are deliberately creating an underclass of child which are readily available for the rich to collect for their yachts. 

The same thing happened with eastern european children in the immediate aftermath of the USSR collapse.

Increasingly especially from Bush onwards i do not understand the difference between how the 3 major powers behave and what the true difference between them is.

 

I think the only true difference is the US hides behind Democracy, is part of Nato and part of the developed and wealthy world... but morally??? I have to laugh

Well, conservatives are 'cause they're isolationists.

In some ways I am too. I wish we didn't police the world. But alliances like NATO are objectively good.

We have a democracy, the American people are just either too disengaged or too susceptible to propaganda  

If everyone was educated enough to vote reasonably, regardless of which side of the aisle they fell on, there wouldn't be a problem.

I think part of the reason why Americans are so dumb is because of the location of our country. Being surrounded by huge oceans has allowed the US to thrive because we’ve never had to worry about being directly attacked and so we were able to circulate more money into our society as a result.

At the same time this has been a huge issue. Being so isolated from the world has made us complacent and numb to a lot of things that would’ve caused revolutions in other countries. Without the practical open borders that Europe has, we don’t have an influx of different perspectives and cultures that could ultimately change us for the better. That’s why propaganda is so easily digested in the US… there’s no other outside point of view or people who can challenge the narrative. It’s like we live in a negative feedback loop of bullsh*t.

That democracy is a difference between China and Russia but regardless what i meant is that in terms of how they act on the world stage internationally I dont see a huge difference tbh. Maybe Russia is the worst, but China and USA kinda on par atm i feel like
