If i was a millionaire public figure i'd feel uncomfortable with major publications reporting my every minor donation, this is crazy, the fact that she's a billionaire with a public image in crisis should make you suspicios, you ppl fall for it so easily, this is so clearly PR motivated for the praise she knows she'll get rather than any charitable spirit, this is no different than the **** Mr. Beast does....

I do agree given that she's done lots of foodbank donations throughout the eras tour - without major PR press statements in Taylor branding. 
This coming after the first real period of public dislike she's had in the last few years is telling. 

But at least they used good charities for the PR stunt

i kno it’s gauche and passe to have it publicized when it comes to big donations but when it comes to hunger we can make an exception so everyone else knows where to give money too

i mean plenty of main outlets reported her donations during that tour, during which she also had of plenty pf backlash for ticket prices, marketing tactics and the ticketmaster controversies, the strong greed narratives surrounding her were already very present then. Even before that, one thing about miss swift donations, she makes sure you WILL know and how much is it, this has been a pattern in her career, it's nothing new, she's always been reactive when her public image is questioned.

Charity is a scam perpetuated by the rich to avoid paying what they owe society in taxes, full stop.

This is like Exxon donating a million dollars to environmental conservation. Is that a nice thing they didn’t have to do? Yes. Are they still the whole problem to begin with? YES.

I mean the ticketmaster controversies were ticketmaster controversies - her team had dynamic pricing turned off from day 1. 

The issues criticised were ticketmaster's lack of transparency about the additional fees it charges itself ontop of ticket prices - which is what led to the law change. 

She had some marketing backlash but nothing major that made any serious traction. 

As for the donations - yes they attracted media coverage in some cities (she donated at every stop) but nothing compared to this where it is *branded* PR and I feel like you're deliberately ignoring what I was saying.
