I tried multiple times but never clicked. So, my question is - the hype around Troye Sivan even legit, or manufactured? What do you feel about this artist? Troye started as a YouTuber and built up a massive following through that, then started posting a few covers and songs he wrote and got signed as his sound was very different. This was around the time of Lorde's debut so every label was looking for the next 'alternative' star'. His music started as being darker and more edgy (listen to 'Happy Little Pill', his debut song), but he's grown into a modern popstar. I got into his music around 2018 when he did My My My, Bloom and Dance to This with Ariana. And then Something to Give Each Other turned me into a stan. That album takes me right back to summer 2023.
