I've always wondered with sales strategy, how she'd fare if they were to sell the final tickets first - like, after the ones you've said, they have one leg revisiting the most profitable 15 venues with the tickets being put on sale before the first ticket of the tour - kind of like a "come to the wrap party" thing.. but with the premise that they'll be the only shows at which she performs brand new material from a forthcoming album that will not tour (EP, 'touring' done via events such as festivals, etc).... It's an interesting concept and could take her well over the 300M mark... actually, if it's 15 venues, didn't Twickenham get her 10M? So that could be 150M... so it could work out to $430M haha insanity.

Rainbow Unicorn 82
I like it ! Except that she will not be able to go to Malaysia yet + she could pull out a stadium in Singapotr. And isn't Morocco a bit dangerous religously talking ? Effectively, I had not thought of that :S But I think Morocco is a bit similar with Turkey or Israel (Madonna has succes in Israel), no ? And a lot of singers sang in this country (Rihanna, Mariah Carey, Elton John), she should try :D And do you think she can play in a stadium in Singapore ? Because the only stadium in Singapore (for concerts) has a capacity of 55 000 et she sold 30 000 tickets with the BTWBALL... Maybe it would be risked ? But I think she could try, yes. :)
Woolfsmck 2,763
I've seen BTWB in stadiums and arenas, and the arenas were better. Everyone is closer to the stage and it's just a much more personal feel to it. It's not as much of a mess crowd-wise, and you don't have to deal with the weather. If she played stadiums in January, I bet a lot of fans would not have dressed the way they did! The sound quality in an arena is a little echoey, and the stadium sound quality was maybe a little more even because sound isn't bouncing off the walls. But that's a minor difference. Overall arena shows are better (and Theater shows are even better still!) Also, stage fog doesn't work when it's windy. I'm guessing that's why she requested Arena's. She knows whats the best experience for her fans. I've been to statium shows and only a few people can even enjoy the show. The floor is usually a violent episode in survival and the music is deafening. Most of the seating is too far away and the ones close to the stage are too low so the people standing block the view. Add the weather issue and I'd bet that any experienced concert goer would rather see her in an arena. Getting to the number crunching....I get the 'buisness' aspect and planning out the best way to get the most out of her popularity, but as the current injury highlights, Gaga can only do so much. I think the money isn't an issue so she doesn't really need to press her schedule to meet budget either. like a cat in a sil, I observe life, moving and still. My words give a clue, look inside to see whats true

Rainbow Unicorn 82
Well, you had her do a show at Key Arena in Seattle for 16,000 people. However she just sold 14,000 tickets at the Tacoma Dome and in reality the Key Arena only holds 10,000 for concerts. She either needs to do 2 nights at the Key or 1 in Tacoma. The complete capacity of the key arena for a classic concert is 16 600. For a concert like Gaga's one, the capacity will be more like 14/16 000. Tacoma Dome can hold 21 000 people. I think It's better for her to play with 14 000 people in an arena with a capacity of 16 000 than an arena with a capacity of 21 000 xD Estadio do pacaembu in Sao Paulo isn't avilable for concerts by law.. she can't perform there. a new stadium will be available soon.. Arena Palestra has a capacity between 40 and 60k of people Yes I know, the last concert in this stadium was in 2005 with Avril Lavigne. I know it's old but I didn't find a better stadium for Gaga
StrawberryBlond 14,254
I'm sure she felt closer to the fans that way, but she must realise that she can ensure that more fans can go to her concerts now. I feel bad for anyone living in places like Spain and Italy, which only got one arena date. Yes, if tickets sell out fast, another date will be added, but arena dates are near enough impossible to get tickets for when an artist is in high demand. I couldn't even get through on the phone on the day UK tickets went on sale. This is an issue that Beyonce's fans are complaining about right now - they're saying that because she continues to have arena tours, it's going to be next to impossible to get tickets whereas if she did a good mix of arenas and stadiums, all her fans would be far more likely to go. Her UK arena dates sold out in minutes but a lot of them were scalpers buying bundles of tickets specifically to sell on eBay for over £660 (yes, that much). If an artist does an arena tour, there is a massive chance of this happening and true fans not seeing the show. It's a lot less likely to happen for a stadium tour. I heard this situation happened for Gaga's 4 dates in Hong Kong. Had she gone for stadiums instead, it might not have happened. Stadiums also mean that it won't matter if a lot of casual fans want to go as with a capacity that high, they won't be denying lots of devoted fans their tickets. The smaller the venue, the more I think casual fans should think twice about booking if demand is high.

I know it's old but I didn't find a better stadium for Gaga You're wrong sweetie. At Madonna's shows in Seattle, with a very similar stage to Gaga's, she played to 10,000 people. Gaga would only play to 10k at the Key. I've been to both venues, I've seen Madonna's boxscores. As for the Tacoma Dome I'm kind of sick of explaining this on GagaDaily. There is no real capacity for the venue despite what Wikipedia says. The venue is just a huge circle with no seats of floor. That's it. There's a backstage area attached, and there are portable restrooms and some stalls with food. They keep all of the seats out back and then push them in on the day of the show. The seats are bleachers. Because Gaga's stage was so huge, they only had about 10,000 seats worth of bleachers and 4,000 on the GA floor. The seats in the back however, are permanent unlike the lower level seats, so they just didn't fill them for the BTWB due to safety issues. I was told this by the event manager. Also because Gaga had a mix they didn't seat people in the middle, so it was mainly on the sides, GA, and some boxes in the back. The venue has no real "capacity" as if the bleachers weren't full they would just leave them outside. Her show was only 90 tickets away from selling out the Friday before the show on Monday, so it was officially soldout. Please believe me, I was there, I spoke to all the event managers, staff, security, box office, over my 3 days there, and did plenty of research. Also they let us watch them setup the stage which was cool.
magicomg 0
I think she won't sell-out a lot of stadiums... But she can try where she's really popular, like Australia and keep with the stadiums in Europe (Stade de France/Aviva Stadium/Twickenham Stadium...) ! For the next tour, she should do something like that : QUEBEC CITY – Plaines d'Abraham – 70,000 Forget about a show at Plains of Abraham, mayor of the city said only 20+ years career artist can perform here. The only way she can perform here is being part of the Quebec City's Summer Festival (wich is a free festival).
