So it' the end" That was very weird and why would she say that? As for LG8, I’d like to either hear an evolution of the Gaga formula and sound as BTW and ARTPOP were sort of the final forms with Mayhem perfecting that same level/style. Mayhem was a good return to form but I’d like to see her go next level. That or her tackle a different genre/style/angle. With it potentially being so soon after Mayhem. I think an evolution would be better than a brand new genre style. I’d like to see her tackle a jazz, retro pop, r&B, and hip hop influenced fusion album that is a bit more vocally driven and stripped back to focus on piano skills and writing/composing skills but probably after taking the mayhem direction to the next level. Her music post-ARTPOP have been notably lacking urban influence which id like to see her return to. Her music has been a bit too white for the past decade. That album is so wild in the way it explores the pop sound and the songs could never be sung by anyone else but her. It really feels like Mayhem was her way of easing back into that energy, reconnecting with her own style and aesthetics, and now she’s fully back, unstoppable and as creative as ever. I see people speculating about which genre she’ll focus on (funk, disco, electronic?), but to me it’s clear that her direction isn’t really about genre this time. It’s about worldbuilding in total freedom, embracing every wild swing, and going all in on whatever she feels compelled to explore. Seeing her return to that spirit is what excites me the most.
