SlowLoris 1,115 Posted yesterday at 06:11 AM Share Posted yesterday at 06:11 AM Lol i love how there are, without fail, always holier-than-thou comments on these speculative threads like "she will not do anymore music, she will have a baby and the next time you hear from her will be in 10 years. And that's fine and okay and you need to just be grateful for what she's given you already. Maybe she'll do another jazz album or makeup Collab, which I would love, and you should too, ungrateful little swine" 😭🤣🤣🤣 1

I think what might make LG8 get released next year is the promo plan and Gaga being mentally ready to go all out. I think Chromatica was essentially made a whole year before it came out (pregnant with LG6), but then she decided to remix the entire album to be house music. And clearly, it wasn’t the case yet in July 2019 since she debuted the Babylon EV snippet. So I guess they remade the entire record in about six months too, only leaving Stupid Love untouched. Yeah a lot of songs from Chromatica demos were done in 2018. I love this album but hate how she was working on this (having a writing camp with her, not getting involved in producing stuff, revisiting the original material and making it more tamed). I totally get her point when she said she felt like she had not that much to tell during Joanne and Chromatica. That's on those periods she had help from songwriters (Hillary Lindsey, Jacob Hindlin, Beck, Madison Love, Justin Tranter, Father John Misty...) I'm glad Gaga is back fully writing / producing / feeling creative again just like during TF(M), BTW, ARTPOP and MAYHEM Edited yesterday at 06:21 AM by monketsharona
LunaUniverse 4,187 Posted yesterday at 06:25 AM Share Posted yesterday at 06:25 AM I just want her to dive into starting another era whenever she feels it’s right and ready, and if that means not this year then that’s fine. We’ve got so much content last year that I’m still energized from it. If she somehow feels she wants to put out something this year, she can do that too. It’s sort of difficult when we have zero idea of the content at this stage Either way we’re still getting new music this year in the form of a song for a highly anticipated sequel that will most be eligible for the Oscars, and a collab with The Weeknd if that has a chance of being true 1# Samoyed Stan

The theme and concept (if you can even call them that) for the album still to this day makes no sense and is a reach, at least 5 of the songs outright were pre-made beats for demos that the producers had (primarily Zedd) that she just made a song to. And her first produced song herself was essentially a stems remix of a Madeon song lol. Plus it was made when she was in the most hectic time of her life on her biggest world tour ever and pressured by her label and team to make new music fast, be controversial and pretty. Was the music good? Yeah (not as good as the previous music though) Is the album as creative as everyone, even Gaga, makes out? Absolutely not imo.

Yeah I mentioned ARTPOP for her work / writing process. She didn't need some writing sessions with songwriters to help. I'm glad she's fully back in the creative seat. I'm sure Chromatica would have been more 'in the face' in terms of production if she was fully involved in it. Especially with the mental breakdown theme. Not a shade to those albums of course because I LOVE them. But you can clearly feel the project she put more guts in imo

She not Beyoncé or Rihanna that has people writing songs for her with zero involvement (that’s what a writing camp is btw), Jessie J and Sia have said what it’s like being in a writing camp before and I can’t see Gaga doing that at all. Well Jacob Hindlin, Madison Emiko, Justin Tranter are songwriters, she had some types of writing sessions as well She also took that old Swedish House of Mafia demo for Sine... I remember she posted a picture with Justin in the studio from those sessions. I don't mean to shade Chromatica, I love the album. It just doesn't feel she was in her casual way to work on a new album. MAYHEM has objectively more guts, mainly she was 100% enjoying the creative process in the studio. And everybody can feel it
