If rumours are to be believed, we should be receiving it this Wednesday, right? I saw a post on Reddit about the submission deadline for the 2026 Emmys being May 7th, so IF Requiem drops on Wednesday, it would still be eligible. The era really flew by, and after watching Requiem and the behind the scenes footage I can’t help but feel like Gaga and Michael are eager to wrap this up and get the next era rolling. This performance was filmed less than a year after the record’s release for crying out loud. Every other era has really had its stretch, but Mayhem has barely just arrived and Gaga is already quite literally putting it to rest. The intentional language of Mayhem being over is very suspicious. Just reworking the album alone implies that she cannot hold back the creative itch.
