Has Gaga achieved her MAIN career goals

DISCLAIMER: Ok - mother is only 39 and still going very, very strong - with so much talent, versatility, every time she rises again it feels like she is just getting started - so this thread is not   suggesting she doesn’t have more to give or that her drive is completely different. 
 

However, - honestly - do you think she has reached the main career goals she originally set out to achieve?

 

from my perspective:

- Fame - she’s done the huge popstar thing, and has proved countless times her talent across the various art forms… singing, acting, songwriting, creating… as well as the more classic jazz vocalist efforts and power ballads that just naturally radiate from her. 

- Live performance - she’s had various world tours fills stadiums with 1000s of people. 

- Awards - stack loads - Grammys, Oscar…

- Acting - proven talent across various roles 

- To do ‘good’ - she’s changed lives and conversations across the whole LGBT community 

- Business on HER terms - she feels settled, in control and appears to enjoy Haus Labs, now with less angst around her brand just being milked for other’s greedy benefit..

 

I know she mentioned about writing a musical one day, which kinda feels more of an emerging idea rather than OG goal. In all the Mayhem interviews her emphasis feels more on achieving personal goals, family etc. rather than career. 

two questions:

1) Do you agree she has achieved / overachieved on allshe set out to do? Or is there a gap you think she feels she needs to fill? 
 

2) How do you think her career goals could shift in the coming years? 
Personally I could see her attempting ventures which ‘give back’ or help build more artists through mentorship and opportunities ….. maybe a school of arts, maybe even a record label, maybe even a Netflix series which gives unconventional artists a platform to launch,.. ie maybe think X factor-style talent show for unconventional artists but 100% proceeds feed directly into BTW foundation to fund more kindness initiatives or something.. 
 

 

There’s noway to know what the future holds,  let’s see where MM goes in her 40s - no doubt to infinity and beyond 🌌⚡️

I think 2008 fame gaga would be so impressed with today's gaga. But I think she always knew she was going to achieve her goals, she was so determined out of the gate that there was no other option for her. That being said I dont think she could've predicted the critical, universal acclaim that she now has. 

Yes I think she has achieved everything she set out to achieve, but as you say she probably now has more goals, a musical, another big movie role and to finally achieve EGOT I would imagine are high on her professional list now!

Gaga has definitely cemented her legacy but Gaga definitely still has a lot she can accomplish.

Winning an Oscar for acting...not music 

AOTY Grammy

Winning a Tony for Broadway (music, writing, or performance)

EGOT status

Potential future fashion capsule collection, Skincare line, more fragrances, etc...

Collaborations with other music legends and artists...rare for her

I think she absolutely has, even if there is still a lot more for her to do and achieve, and I cannot wait to see what she comes up with in the future, but I think she's definitely fulfilled all of her main goals

Morgan Kibby composed the Chromatica interludes with Gaga. 

Alex Smith arranged the orchestral score of Folie à Deux 

Gaga was still the brain and also produced for both projects but it's worth crediting the artists that helped her bring her vision to life

I'd say yes, music-wise, impact-wise and acting-wise. The success and impact of TF/M and ASIB can hardly be replicated.

I personally think she’s a very down to earth kinda person and she knew exactly what she came for, so I believe her main goal was to be recognized and respected as a real artist, especially for someone that made her career in the pop field. 
The awards (and money) are consequential but of course she once dreamed about getting them, and I personally think the Oscar is very very important for her. 
For now I feel like going GOAT status is probably her ultimate huge target when it comes to her career and other than that, she knows she’s talented and doesn’t have anything else to prove for anyone. 
I’d say she’s probably thinking about succeeding with building her family and things like that more than anything else, and whatever else she comes up with music/acting she’ll just keep doing it passionately and enjoying as it goes.

Has she achived everything that was on her mind 20 years sgo ? Yes, a few times over, but I don't think it works like that for competitive high-achiever types (and she IS one of those). I think it's more a case of 'I want to do A B and C.... ok, that's done .... next'.

It will be interesting to see where she goes and what she does. I think the music will just keep coming (not sure about the acting), but she will surely want to try new things as well.

Realistically she's the only one that can achieve EGOT status from her roster of stars (along with Ariana if things go well with her for the Oscar, she'll definitely win the Tony, earlier than Gaga too) so that. Another major DWAS sized hit in a decade or earlier, AOTY, and an acting Oscar would be the cherry on top.
