The verses and post are better than the actual chorus. The chorus and some of the instrumental feel wayyy too similar to KFL and SOAM.

The trancey vibes were really refreshing and something she hasn't done much. But then the chorus came in...

Lastly, the whole concept of the song being a literal dance. It's a bit too TikTok pandering and on the nose. 

Several other songs from MAYHEM deserved MV treatment over TDD. With that said, I do enjoy the song and video, but just my opinions.

- The post-chorus being obviously miles better than the chorus

- Gaga x Tim Burton felt like it should’ve been more bombastic

I don’t know why everyone dislike it so much. I think it’s a great dance track, always gets me pumped.

I understand fans wanted other singles to get a mv and I would prefer VIY or Zombieboy too but I still like the song, the video could have had more script but I don’t think it matters much nowadays.

I just don't like it. It kinda sounds like if Katy Perry did a Halloween song. It has that cheap, overly simplistic sheen to it.

Its just a novelty song and it was marketed as such. Gaga obviously loves it because I dont think she would put something out she didnt but lets be honest Zombieboy or VIY could have been a better hit.

I personally don't mind the song. I'd rather listen to it than Kill For Love, for example. I don't think I've ever skipped it when I listen to the version of Mayhem with all three of those tracks. But I found the music video terrible.

I do not think it is cheap, I actually love the song, but, indeed, its weakness was the forced attempt to be a viral product. Like, it was TOO forced.

Anyway, I love the song as I said, but the video? Underwhelming. Static, flat storyline, and the expectations were too high with Mr Burton so...

It's a good song but it's too repetitive and it gets tiring after a couple of listens to me. The verses are the best part even on the instrumental and choreography-wise, and then it just gets a bit bland. I also dislike when Gaga wants to sing really loud and high-pitched and a lot of the song is like that and it feels like she strains her voice which sounds a bit grating to me. The video is cute but honestly I would have preferred if it was just Gaga having a silly dance party at the island of the dolls instead of that intro and all the ugly shots of the dolls moving. Not to mention that the shots were questionable, too quick and zoomed-in on her face so we can't appreciate the setting or her moves/outfit (which is why I love the end where you can actually see her well). And idk, I think the black and white throws it off, like I can't get some details because something is lost in there.

I feel it was trying to be spooky in a "purple people eater" kind of all age appropriate, ooky spooky vibe rather than a truly dark horror themed track and video. its a cute song, but it did come off as a deperate attempt to make a Halloween hit. the song just isnt good enough to achieve that. zombieboy should have been pushed for that imo.
