Drake is not known for his fashion or style, he never has been. He literally did a music video in a winter jacket and jeans… That said, there might some misogyny at play here but on the other side we have artists like Lana or Lorde that don’t really dress up for shows and no one bats an eye because they aren’t know for their style. I mean, I'm not a Doja fan so my exposure to her is just what makes it onto here and looks interesting. And like - my impression of Doja has always been that she's a rapper forced to do pop because she's female and she hates it. And on that front, i'm kind of shocked people are surprised she's done a show and performed like what she actually wants to be and focuses on when she has her own way. RAMROD 111,283
I mean, I can't blame the fans. Cos, well..., Doja was trying to be a fashion icon with all the couture she wore for awhile, since the Woman era, so obviously her fans who are into fashion feel a little let down seeing current era is lacking. Like, I can see their issue with this. Being a fashion icon is something that goes on forever. Once the fashion enthusiasts set eyes on you for it, you're doomed. It's like this cult site, during the Joanne era, where most fans aren't feeling the Western/Cowgirl aesthetic. But yeah, the unfairness compared to male performers are such a big gap. But then again, mens fashion are kinda boring. Like, the most breakthroughs in men's fashion includes; mens wearing pink in early 2000s, mens wearing skirt (in masculine-non-cros dress way), in late 1990s, men's skinny jeans/jeggings in 2010, and male romper in 2017. Even then, not all mens wear them. Like wtf?! There were never like actual art form with menswear compared to women's. I haven't seen anything and am only reacting from what I'm reading here, but if you're asked to pay $250 for a pop show, I don't blame people for expecting to see a freaking pop show. Sure but there is a pop show. She's just not doing Beyoncé bells and whistles which ill say she'd be charging a lot more if that were the case. I feel like as much as i disagree with it, shows for mega artists these days are just more expensive these days and $250 is just not "that expensive" in that regard anymore when Gaga's cheapest, worst nosebleed is horribly expensive. Gone are the days when the TMB pit was $250. But Doja did put on a show and she was singing and performing her face off. So I just think it's also misplaced expectations from fans for always demanding the highest quality from the highest price and not facing the reality that livenation is wanting to scam them down. Realistically, yeah they should want a bang for their buck, absolutely, but frankly the lack of it is more of a livenation thing than artist thing bc they're the ones setting these egregious prices with their insane CEO's bizarre philosophy. I can't even remember what Gaga wore for the rest of the concert except for act 1 which is the most prominent outfit for a reason. Imagine the riot that would be here if at the next tour, Gaga would wear jeans and a white t-shirt, no backdrop, no dancers and a small stage The Joanne Dive Bar Tour? faysalaaa 4,984
The show is not bad, but its not tour worthy, specially with ticket prices today. It looks like a random cheapy festival show thats not tour worthy.

Gagasdisease 272
Just checked a video of the tour on Youtube... It looks like she's going for an 80's vocalist vibe with no BG dancers, which is fine and its perfect for 'Vie', the stage is minimalistic but still cool... The thing is, she is a pop girl, and her earlier hits would go better with dancers or a more elaborate setup... I think she could've kept what she's doing for the 'Vie' songs, and then bring in dancers, or change it up at some point for other songs... I love Doja and I get where she's coming from, but she has to be more careful with how she responds to her fans' criticism because it can backfire, and it has... The new album made no noise and isn't doing good commercially.
skaxboy 5,903
She will be here in October. There are still plenty of tickets available so hopefully I can snag some when Ticketmaster has a promo. I love the new album. Gorgeous got me hooked.
LOVEDRUG 10,919
I agreed with the fans until I saw clips of the actual show. She's performing her ass off. It's not like she's just singing on an empty stage in jeans and a t-shirt. "through all the tears and all the lies, i'm gonna dance until i feel alright"
