Mulholland drive

Mulholland Drive is a masterpiece and Beau is Afraid (alongside Eddington) is Aster’s best work. Taste :vegas:

Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me
Twin Peaks: The Return (I treat it as an 18 hour movie).

I'm still so haunted by both and thinking about Laura Palmer will nearly always make me instantly tear up with sadness, horror, and existentialism.

Stalker - Andreï Tarkovski 1979
Singapore Sling - Nikos Nikolaidis 1990
The Holy Mountain - Alejandro Jodorowsky 1973
Figures in a Landscape - Joseph Losey 1970
Quintet - Robert Altman 1979
Wise Blood - John Huston 1979
The Trial - Orson Welles 1962
Last Year in Marienbad - Alain Resnais 1961

From the top of my head... I might come back for more...

Dodes'ka-den - Akira Kurosawa 1970
The Color of Pomegranates - Sergei Parajanov 1969 (...heavy influence for LG 911 mv !)

"mysterious" is so difficult for me to answer.... what is mysterious! A confusing film? A scary film? A weird film?

I would say.... idk! With google's help Prisoners is seen as mysterious.. but it made me more uncomfortable than curious, I was like omg so evil more than hmm what a conundrum!

- Hereditary (only cuz I watched it more recently but it’s not necessarily mysterious I suppose).

- Eyes Wide Shut. That film leaves u feeling uneasy and left with a feeling of emptyness since there is no satisfying conclusion to the mystery yet you do get a conclusion to the turmoil in the relationship between the leads (Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman)

- Clanad & Clanad Afterstory. It's an anime series but you really get this finale that is both odd yet tragically beautiful? cant explain it lol

there’s a few other films I know that gave me that vibe u described but I can’t name them or pin point them in my memory yet  I’ll see if they come to me at a later point and I’ll edit my post
