Controversiaga 11,987
I feel that this attempt at redemption is unwarranted … Katy has done NOTHING to actually show us she is a better or different person than who she was just 6 months ago.. nothing changed. She just released a new song with a new aesthetic and new writing/production team. yes she finally dropped Luke.. but it’s only because of the backlash she faced last year when she released the disastrous Woman’s World single and MV right before the corresponding flop album. why should we feel like bandaids is sincere or genuine ?? It feels like nothing more than damage control to me. i cannot see her as anything other than a phony at this point… Pronounced like “Balenciaga” . Emphasis on the “Ga”

Dojo 19,582
I don't think she cares about success anymore, she's been flopping for almost a decade now
spookytanooki 1,060
Ive always wanted to like her, but theres something so off-putting about her in general. Every era, I cautiously go in with high hopes, and Im typically disappointed. Like, I really liked the new music video, but wasn't crazy about the music itself... if you don't have something nice to say, be mean

Not like Taylor Swift who seems to genuinly only care about charts and will do whatever it takes to stay at #1. Whatever cheap gimmick it takes she will do it, Quite despicable and hard to respect

Poker 3,758
Yes, it was a mistake. She kinda "ruined" the comeback to this sound with a poor song and tragic chart performance. She released the song too soon after 143. She even plays WW at the end of the MV. I think she should have waited a little longer, detach completely from 143 and move on with a similar sound to Bandaids but better. Kindness rules all. Anderson123 39,218
“I Kissed a Girl” becoming a hit was a mistake. But not as bad as Super Bass becoming a hit.
