i feel like after 3 negatively received albums she should have taken a longer break to plan, craft and execute something great, different and more complex to prove the haters wrong. Instead it feels like she just keeps releasing random basic songs and hopes one of them sticks

Yes nobody even knew bandaids existed until she teased it. 

WW was her “pop comeback” and also had vinyls, CD’s, merch, teasers on insta and Tik tok for weeks before it came out. The announcements for it on all her socials had over 1M likes so the hype and demand was there

She won’t do this because she doesn’t think the problem is her. She said on tour that the hate was just an “online thing” and it didn’t exist in real life. Well, guess what…

Is this really the start of a new era? Because she really just announced this thing out of nowhere. I actually think the song itself is good, but it's coming too soon off the heels of her worst era ever. Not to mention, the visuals seem in line with 143's. No marketing + no break between eras + reductive visuals is not a recipe for success

She’s better off just doing one-off singles here and there. She did that during the pre-Smile era, which although not a huge success, was a much cuter look for her than what she tried to pull last time.
