She can definitely sing, but the over reliance on backing track and pitch corrector is kinda crazy. Not just with her but many performers. Maybe I'm in the minority, but unless you're britney I'm paying to hear a singer sing. I don't wanna have to think about whether the impressive vocals are live or pre-recorded so you can hit your 7th split in the show.

the video with the mic upside down is too short to know if she was meant to be lip syncing or not? She might just normally sing over the studio vocals for that part?

like when Gaga puked at the BTWBall during TEOG and everyone said she was lip syncing because the 'i'm on the edge with you' vocals carried on playing whilst she was puking

There are longer videos and you can tell it's a backing track, a loud one, but a backing track.

I think it's just that she relies on backtrack a lot. Which makes sense as she can't dance and sing with good control at least for now.

She's still a great performer and decent singer (personally I'm not a fan of her style of singing but the vocals themselves are good).
