Could Gaga Headline NFL Xmas Halftime Show?

So I was thinking…could Gaga possibly headline the NFL Christmas Show?

Kendrick already did halftime this year, and Bad Bunny’s slated for next year which means there might still be an open slot to fill. I know Gaga’s been busy with Mayhem ball and her schedule is packed until December 13th, but do you think she could pull together a show that grand of a scale in time?

Beyoncé’s Xmas headlining announcement was confirmed on November 18th, so it makes me wonder if Gaga might’ve already signed on. It would be an incredible boost for her AOTY campaign (if she’s nominated *fingers crossed*) and such a perfect way to cap off the huge year she’s had.

I was thinking about it last night and honestly got myself so excited imagining it. In an interview, Parris Goebel mentioned that she and Gaga created the Coachella show in just under two months...so my mind went spinning. I started envisioning what a potential show and setlist could look like, inspired by the Mayhem Ball but reimagined with a festive, Christmas twist still keeping that dark, gothic, opera-esque edge at its core.

It's probably unlikely but a girl can dream! 

What are your thoughts?

Ok so I didn't know whether to post this or not but here's my vision:

MERRY MAYHEM! — Concept by MAMO

Pre-Recorded Intro:

Gaga sings "That’s Entertainment" or "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" evoking the glamour of old Hollywood and a nod to her Jazz side.

Suddenly, a blaring distortion and an ear-splitting interruption shatter the calm. The screen fades into darkness.

Then all you hear and see is "MERRY MAYHEM!" and thus the show begins

ACT I: The Angel of Chaos Descends

From atop a decayed avant-garde Christmas tree, Lady Gaga appears, reimagined as the Angel of Chaos.

The show ignites.

"The Category Is…Dance or Yuletide!"

• “Abracadabra” — A dazzling burst of choreography and lights transforms the stage into a surreal chaotic winter wonderland.

• Short Interlude: “Hit The Lights” — A transition as Gaga disappears for a rapid costume change.

• “Garden of Eden” — Gaga reemerges as a modern Mother Mary, surrounded by glowing, forbidden fruit and other religious Christmas symbolism.

ACT II: Death Becomes Divine

• “Disease” — Instead of a coffin, Gaga arrives back in a “YAS Gaga” sleigh (Yes, I know it’s camp but the pun lmao!!), a vehicle of chaos and resurrection.

“Killah” — The tempo explodes; Gaga fully embodies Elvira and the mistress of darkness with a lot of fiery pyrotechnics.

• “Zombieboy” — A tribute to transformation and rebirth. Similar to her Netflix TUDUM performance. Zombie Santas dancing in the background.

ACT II: Love & Oblivion

*Wedding Bells rings* Haunting Orchestral version of Blade of Grass plays and leads into DWAS.* Gaga walks down the aisle in a ghostly and ethereal wedding dress and the camera slowly pans around as she meets Bruno waiting by the alter.

• “Die With A Smile” (feat. Bruno Mars) — Together they deliver a smoky, romantic duet under falling snow and fireworks in the background and around the stadium.

• “Vanish Into You” — Gaga sings her final song whilst levitating before literally vanishing into thin air leaving only the echo of her voice and a trail of snow with the image of an empty piano standing under a spotlight.

There were rumors several months back saying the NFL contacted Gaga and were very insistent on wanting her for "a project". We know it wasn't the superbowl, so the only logical reason would by precisely the XMas Halftime show. I'm 1000% that they asked, and i bet she said yes, and se will do it. 

You can tell there is hunger in her eyes. And like you said, the timing would be fantastic for her AOTY chances because right in the middle of christmas is when the final voting takes place. Some voters might vote the first week, but a lot vote up until the very end on the first week of January, as they are spending time away during the holidays. This event would help capture those last key voters, as she would be top of mind by then.

Plus, it is entirely possible to pull off. I bet the NFL would take care of all the production and logistics, and Gaga can easily finish locking down the performance if she rehearses on those 10 days she has off between the Australian dates and Christmas. And she;s straight off the Mayhem ball so all the choreo has been learned regardless. All they have to do is lock down the music arrangements and practice.

IMO, She should follow exactly what Beyonce did last year and only perform songs from Mayhem. Include Abracadabra, Disease and Perfect Celebrity mandatorily as these are the songs she sent to compete. Then round out the show with some other well established songs like Garden of Eden, Vanish Into You and The Dead Dance to show case the rest of the album.

If this is to happen surely the pre production is already happening with staging, costuming, setlist etc. If they have the whole show locked in she can rehearse it in full for those 10 days after Australia shows. Who knows if during those gaps between the tour she wasn't already planning this concert.

Makes me think of Parris having a tab in her pc for the VMAs 2 months before the ceremony, so I imagine them doing a lot of things at the same time specially for such big event like this.

I think there’s too many different sources/outlets/“insiders” that have commented on Gaga collabing with the NFL for it not to be true!! And tbh it’s feasible because other than some pre-recorded stuff and a few sightings, she’s pretty quiet and unseen on the days off from this tour. She also has roughly two weeks off from tour before Christmas Day so it’s certainly possible logically

I can't see it tbh, and I sort of hope she doesn't. She won't really have time to come up with a fresh concept, and I doubt she'd do a performance so similiar to her Coachella and tour set.

I mean, it’s like a 12 minute performance lol. She could probably put together something of that length in time. But I also honestly can’t see it just because MAYHEM doesn’t really fit into the aesthetic of a Christmas halftime show to me lol

I mean Beyoncé's country album isn't exactly Christmas halftime show material but she made it work. 

Gaga could easily adapt and make it more festive. Christmas can be dark and gothic imo and it works for Gaga because it's not the traditional style or route most artists would take.
