May Abracadabra become a new Halloween classic?

Despite the relatively underwhelming performance of The Dead Dance on the Spotify Global chart this Halloween, there's a bright spot that Abracadabra has rocketed 110 spots to land at #69. Does this spectacular leap hint that the song is on its way to becoming our next great Halloween classic? I think so. Even though Halloween isn't celebrated on the same massive scale as Christmas, the way Abracadabra consistently re-enters the charts every year from now on truly gives me a warm, nostalgic feeling.

Ok hot take maybe but can we please stop all of this Halloween Gaga stuff? Trying to make her the queen of Halloween is so weird... yes one day of modest streaming boosts is nice, but it's just one day. She's a real artist, not a caricature. And this is from someone who loves Halloween.

I genuinely couldn't care less where her songs are on the charts tbh. She matches the spirit, GagaWeen is just as real as ThrillerWeen and her music has become a staple of the season  

Let's discuss the real issue though. With her pipes? She could totally hit us with that Christmas album and become a threat to Mimi's throne. And I, for one, would love to see it!

nothing lasts forever. if only one song shows up every year for people to remember an artist's iconic work, then why not? A holiday is always special because it helps connect people and create shared moments.

But like isn’t Gaga also leaning into the Halloween thing last year and this year? 

Bloody Mary and I’d argue Monster are already on every Halloween playlist.

Mayhem also includes Abracadabra, Killah, Zombieboy, The Beast, darker creepy lyrics, and she really emphasized the Gothic Dreams aesthetic.

I think it’d be different if she wasn’t leaning into it herself. The creative direction of MAYHEM is largely because of Bloody Mary’s success. I mean, the whole reason TDD exists is because of how viral BM went with that Wednesday edit.

She’s also constantly liking and reposting TikToks about Halloween or spooky, gothic stuff related to MAYHEM. That whole aesthetic is what MAYHEM’s about, so she’s leaning into it more. It won’t last forever, but I think it’s fun for this era.
