Wombat 189
As we all know, Gaga released Harlequin about 1 year ago, an album featuring one of her best ballads. Did it have a potential to become a hit? Was Happy Mistake truly, a mistake? perhaps not making it a single is actually a very sad mistake.. interesting… Edited November 2 by Wombat I've become a notorious being
Creyk 18,059
I love seeing the trend I started. Feels like Gaga thoughts is alive again! About this one, yes, it definitely WAS a mistake. BOG should have been on harlequin. It would fit in better with the rest of Harlequin quality-wise. And if Happy Mistake was on Mayhem it would receive more attention, which it deserves. It also fits the theme of the album better than BOG. 6 1
Lextyr97 20,209
I understand why it’s on Harlequin. Thematically and with its placement it really works, BUT god damn does it fit like a GLOVEEEE on Mayhem after The Beast. Seriously, if you haven’t heard it in that context, do yourself the favor. gemein3 1,369
I think it’s one of the most gorgeous and haunting songs Gaga’s ever written. I don’t listen to it often because it makes me emotional lol Its biggest mistake was not being in Mayhem. Agreed with those above me ^

meltedplastic 531
i tend to think it was supposed to be on it "my head is full of broken mirrors" and then the whole mayhem aesthetic literally being broken mirrors. ugh dont . now im mad
jackweller 445
It should’ve been in the film and would easily get an Oscar nod 7
AVeryGagaHolyDick 27,368
Wasn’t it written for Chromatica?
bpmMonkey 6,518
HM doesn't fit the Mayhem theme at all. Sonically, sure, but other than that it would have no place on the record. I am very happy she found place for it on Harlequin tho and she even performed it live. It's a beautiful song and could have been tied in more with the movie. Lyrically it feels like a sister of Perfect Celebrity/The Beast/HBDUWM with the reflections on her fame and the disconnect between Gaga & Stefani.
faysalaaa 5,034
Die With A Smile should have been the Joker album single. And Happy Mistake should have been on Mayham.
