Probably one of my favourite songs in Gaga's discography, for a long time it was my #1 favourite.

the real truth is because it’s the longest song (besides Bad Romance) on the album at 4:48 (BR is 4:54) and Teeth is the shortest (3:40) alongside Telephone (also 3:40). And in 2025 Gen Z only like songs that are 1:50-2:50 in length and labels do that for replay value. Plus I believe Spotify’s streaming rule is 80% of a song must be listened to without skipping and above 1 or 2 volume to count as an official stream. 
 

Gen Z absolutely won’t sit through the 40 second intro of her moaning over synths and bass lol

I’ve noticed Speechless is kind of her biggest non-single ballad in terms of popularity with the GP (and more popular than singles like Til It Happens To You, Dope... hell, sometimes even more than stuff like Hair and Marry The Night), this song always gets randomly performed by someone on those singing competitions

I think songs with long exaggerated intros probably get skipped a lot when somebody is just listening to music on shuffle, especially people who are just casually listening to non-Gaga specific pop stations and this particular song shows up they might just be like “what the **** is this” and click skip
