Speaking to Manhattan, Inc. magazine in November 1985, Trump shared his ideal future for the United States.

We would combine our nuclear stockpile with Russia’s, cut off food and medical supplies to any country we could accuse of developing their own weapons, and dominate the globe.

This wasn’t just the daydream of a power-hungry psychopath. Trump said he was talking to officials in Washington and The White House about how to make it happen.

He was probably telling the truth, considering Roy Cohn’s access to the Reagan White House and Stone’s private campaign to convince D.C. insiders that Trump would become president someday.

Compare Trump’s agenda in 1985 to today, and the crossover is obvious.

While the CIA plots a coup to take over Venezuela’s oil production, the U.S. military is demonstrating what it can get away with by killing civilians in the Caribbean.

Rather than accusing them of having nukes, we accuse them of being terrorists.

The USAID programs that provide food, medication, and other necessities to struggling countries are gone. The two countries we do provide aid for are Israel and Argentina, where Trump and some of his cabinet members have personal investments and deals to make.

Many of the countries Trump isn’t trying to dominate through force or through tariffs are countries where his name floats in the sky, suspended at the top of a building, overlooking a city his family is already ripping off.

The most alarming exception to that rule is the country where he’s testing his tactics the most. The country with riot gear in the street and where people can’t afford food? That’s his own country.
