Morphine Prince 109,654 Posted October 28, 2025 Share Posted October 28, 2025 The Israeli military carried out airstrikes in multiple locations across the Gaza Strip on Tuesday, according to a spokesperson for Gaza's Civil Defense agency and Al Jazeera, throwing the fragile U.S.-brokered ceasefire between Israel and Hamas into question. Earlier on Tuesday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered "powerful" airstrikes on Gaza. Following security consultations, Prime Minister Netanyahu instructed the military echelon to carry out powerful strikes in the Gaza Strip immediately," his office said in a statement. An IDF official told NBC News that the command is a result of Hamas allegedly attacking soldiers in Rafah in an Israeli-controlled area. NBC News has not independently verified this attack. Ladle Ghoulash 52,614 Posted October 28, 2025 Share Posted October 28, 2025 (edited) The fact that they are breaking the peace agreement and continuing military operations in Gaza, while simultaneously holding a formal vote in the Knesset to annex the West Bank against the will of the Trump administration (while Vance and Rubio are in Israel as diplomatic envoys no less) just shows me how little Netanyahu respects the Trump administration, but also the American government more broadly. The US and the international community need to stop subsidizing Israel’s war crimes. It's almost as if the U.S., by giving Israel unlimited artillery and funding, has now created a rogue state that we have little to no control over. They've been doing the same in Lebanon despite that joke of a ceasefire, and They've been escalating quite severely these past few days with many martyrs being killed by their airstrikes. It'd be the first time he did something right Though knowing him/the American way, literally every surrounding nation would be "acceptable collateral damage" Throwback to us using drone strikes on crowds 'cause "there was maybe someone who looked like a known terrorist in the area".
