It’s a terrible album cover without a doubt, but it’s definitely part of the overall nostalgic appeal of the record. The 2000s were aesthetically questionable and this very much is a product of its time. I’m still amazed she’s managed to make such a great record out of what was arguably a personal rock bottom period in her life.
