**** hit the fan late in the process, when it was time to film a kissing scene. In the days beforehand, Tupac talked nonstop about overwhelming Jackson with his lips and tongue. He thought he was being cute. She did not. Three days before the sequence was to be shot, Nicolaides was summoned to Jackson’s trailer, where she sat with her fiancé, a dancer named René Elizondo Jr. “You know, Tupac’s reputation is that he’s a cat about town,” Jackson said. “And I don’t want to swap saliva with him until I’m really sure that he’s healthy and clean.” 

“I’ll just spit this out to you, man,” he said. “Janet wants you to have an AIDS test before you kiss her.” 

“You kidding?” Tupac asked. 

“No,” said Nicolaides. 

“**** her,” Tupac said. “I ain’t doing **** for that bitch. Tell her to go **** herself.” 

“Um, OK,” Nicolaides said. He prepared to leave, and Tupac flashed a big smile. 

“So . . . you’ll do it?” Nicolaides asked optimistically. 

“Hell no,” Tupac replied. 

“I honestly think he found it amusing,” Nicolaides said. “And the truth is, I can’t blame Janet for asking. It was the early 1990s, and people were still dying of AIDS. And Tupac, God love him, had a reputation.

“But he never got the test.”

Can't blame her. There was a lot of ignorance around the disease then.

I sincerely hope nobody tries to use this to smack her down though 'cause she dedicated a whole ass song to a friend that died from AIDS and practically dedicated her career afterwards to being a queer ally and advocate.

Also, mostly unrelated, but I will never get over the fact that Michael Jackson beat Tupac up after he disrespected Quincy Jones' daughter  dude was mad disrespectful and often full of himself. It's why Biggie ended up getting the collabs.

That he was a wh*re, basically. Which, live your life, but it's kinda funny how he has this reputation among straight men for having the utmost respect for women despite being unfaithful to his partners, having flings with a p*rn actress, dating all these actresses and singers (including Madonna, who he dumped 'cause he believed his image would be damaged by dating a white woman), and god only knows how many other women. Rumors are that he wasn't very kind to some of the women he was with either.

yea times were different and people were more ignorant/didn't know much.... I mean I could have understand her wanting him to get a herpes test maybe
