Fanmade: Taylor Swift vinyl as CDs

Hey everyone,

I'd like to show you something. Many artist release their albums with different covers, especially for vinyl or digital variants. I was lucky to buy a copy of the "The Crowd Is Your King" edition of Taylor Swift "The Life of a Showgirl" for the original price on ebay Kleinanzeigen. I was always too late when the other variants dropped from the official store but I don't want to spend triple the price or even more now and buy them from someone greedy on ebay.

Since my collection of vinyl is very small and I own a lot of CDs, I thought why not extending my CD collection. I had some unused jewel cases (one with some little scratches), empty CDs (back from the days when you burned CDs yourself) and some adhesive CD labels.

During my days off last week I searched for high quality pictures of the covers I liked and of images of the vinyl pressings. For the backs I made some own tracklists with pictures from the photoshoot. Luckily you find all of that on the internet. It took some time to find the right measurements for printing and cutting the images and centering the prints for the CD but it was a lot of fun.

So now I proudly present my CD editions of "The Life of a Showgirl":

- "A Look Behind The Curtain" (originally only digital for iTunes) with the "Sweat and Vanilla Perfume Portofino Orange"-disc artwork from the standard vinyl

- "Baby That's Showbusiness - Lovely Buquet Golden disc" (originally only on vinyl and only available on her official store for limited time)

- "The Tiny Bubbles in Champagne", a combination of the "Under Bright Light Pearlescent"-Cover but with the "Red Lipstick & Lace"-disc artwork (originally only on vinyl and only available on her official store for limited time)

The disc artwork of course isn't as impressive as the vinyls are but I also just own a standard inkjet-printer and had the adhesive labels that were in my father's office cabinet for I don't know how long.

I'm most proud of how they blend in with the other CDs, so the official original ones and they don't stand out the way I have them on display in my living room.

Also the sides of the jewels cases match the original ones at least at first glance:

I know that the experts among you may see how amateur-ish they are in comparison to other fanmade CDs like e.g. bsfmbygavin does on Insagram. I had a lot of fun creating these and my girlfriend, the much bigger Swiftie than me, was also very happy how they turned out. How do you like them?

And I wouldn't post this on gagadaily if I hadn't some Gaga-related ideas in mind. I now have a list of at least ten more album covers that are not available on CD but I like to create a fanmade CD-edition of.

- the Mayhem Amazon exclusive cover

- another picture from the Mayhem-photoshoot that isn't a cover but would look fantastic if used as one

- the two alternative covers for Harlequin

Unfortunately my printer ran out of ink as the hightest print quality requires a lot of ink so now I'm looking for some way to print the inlays and CD labels elsewhere.

If you would like to, I will keep you updated on coming projects-

Thank you for your attention and possible feedback :)
