Two things can be true at the same time: her last few albums are terrible and her artistic integrity has degraded significantly, but she has always been known to give back and put money towards good causes. While I might not respect her as an artist anymore, I do respect her philanthropic efforts.

Hope she's throwing some cash at the politicians trying to change the fact that families are crushed with eternal debt for the crime of having a sick kid.

I think its still a nice gesture, and its a good amount of money to help carry the family along! My guess is they already have loans and whatnot taken out for this and so this donation is probably very nice! Not at all a fan of hers, but I applaud her for this act of kindness! 

She definitely could speak more about the issues in our healthcare (using this experience as a "learning lesson" for her to see the huge issues). I wish a lot of celebrities spoke up more

these rich people are one of the causes why the health system in the US is so expensive, favoring the rich and they are gatekeeping any change to the system because of selfish reasons and causing these kind of families that can't even pay the f-cking million dollars bills to save the lives of their kids... but then these rich people donates them money and everyone sees them as the savior good people.. it's nothing but a PR stunt. 

Never believe the good intentions of a celebrity, they are all pieces of sh-t that cares only about themselves.

Oh yeah, the gesture's great. What I meant is the world we live in is so dark and depressing that this kid had to rely on the charity of a billionaire for healthcare instead of the family knowing the institutions we all live in will actually preserve and respect the lives of sick kids

Tbf if she is truly a Billionare as estimates suggest, even if it were all liquid value she could literally donate regularly and it wouldn't look like the wealth dial was shifting. That's how obscene $1bil is.

There's 10 100,000s in 1 million and 100,000 millions in 1 billion.

This donation isn't even 1% of her wealth. It's like 0.01%.
