Taylor Swift is once again facing criticism for her symbolism in her art. Users online are pointing out that Swift's album variants for her album "Midnights", originally depicting a clock on one side when put together, create a Swastika when turned over.

Have people like them been to a clothing store lately? Clothes racks are often formed like a sw*stika. But they are meant... they are MEANT to hold and display clothes to costumers, but if you look at them from the top, the metal rods form a sw*stika. There a dozens in a store... And imagine, even in Germany!

And for these clothes you don't have to reach as far as some people on the internet do...

Sh*t like this is why I sometimes understand the "both sides" argument, because wtf do you mean it makes a swastika if you reverse it and turn it on its side? I rather dislike Taylor, and I find the backlash to this new era so deserved and warranted, but stuff like this makes me roll my eyes so f*cking much. This is not the "gotcha" moment she thinks it is.

I don't think this was on purpose, but I personally would stop producing/selling this item if my fans realised you could make a swastika with it... same way I would also stop selling/producing items that a very large group of people finds to be a dogwhistle, even if it was coincidental. I'd personally be mortified and pull it all immediately, because I personally would not want people to think I was neutral or agreed with those beliefs for a SECOND. But that's just me personally...

I don't think it this one specifically was intentional (tbh I'm unsure about the lightning bolts considering the weird ass slogan on that hat or whatever it was), but I can't help but find it VERY weird that she isn't avidly against being perceived this way. No statement or anything, never mind pulling the products, which is what anyone with common sense who was actively against this stuff would do...

Do people really think Taylor Swift is making hidden messages to say she's a Nazi? Like seriously?

I think the people thinking she's purposefully doing it are kinda nuts, but you have to admit that it's f*cking weird that she isn't doing anything at all about the allegations/theories. Like why isn't she absolutely horrified that people can speculate this about her without crazily reaching to do so? I feel like because it's such a genuinely abhorrent view to agree with, anyone with the tiniest bit of common sense would do everything they could to disrupt/disprove it.

So…you have to turn it a different way than intended to get it? Cause that does sound like a reach 😂

You mean the thing that is supposed to be discovered and toyed with? It's not that the albums came with instructions for them to outright be a clock, fans were SUPPOSED to discover the Easter Egg by rearranging the variants like tiles. It just so happens that one way it makes a clock, and on the reverse side  it can form a Swastika. Originally, the fans ate it up saying "She's so deep and intentional" but somehow now it's "It's not that deep".  Graphic designers are taught to be intentional with design, and often to avoid possible misrepresentations. This is also all passed through many teams, yet somehow it wasn't caught? Adding any sort of art to the left side of the album art would have broken any possible symbolism.

No, haven't been to American Eagle since the Sidney Sweeney ad actually.

Yeah that's what dog whistles are designed to do. On its lonesome it's not even a big deal, but all of the issues with her over the years really give context to this.

you literally posted about her necklace with lightning bolts yourself and try to make her a Nazi again.

You can't accept that you lost the poll about Taylor threads.

She did pull the SS Bolts Necklace, the link and search result link now redirect to her main store page. She hasn't put out a statement, but I'm sure she's having to preserve her "I'm the victim" image a little after all the damage control she's had to do from the failed Life of a Showgirl promo. Since she basically had to act like her mean girls attitude and superiority complex were part of an act as the "Showgirl" hijacking her album promo. So she can't exactly go out there and say "I hate that I'm being associated like this, but look at all the good things I've done and people are just haters and they're misogynistic and hate successful women" like she normally would.

Yeah I know, just wanted to highlight that this is becoming a trend with Ms. Swift and this isn't a one-off.
