Hadrian 726
I doubt he's her primary muse, but I guess it's possible a song or two on Mayhem are about him, at least partially. I still write about guys I've been over for years; it's just to pad the songs tbh from my casket, I saw you there / just one of my pallbearers / if you won't bring me back to life / lay me down easy tonight
AVeryGagaHolyDick 26,362
I always felt that Don’t Call Tonight wasn’t about a person, more like about her mental health issues To answer your question, my first reaction was “Girl- ” but I guess deep relationships never fully go away from your mind, and actually I wouldn’t be surprised if many of her songs had a little bit of everyone she was ever close to. hELXIG 43,489
Giiirrrl no she's so over him by this point he doesn't even enter her thoughts. They broke up 14 years ago and she's been through at least 4 other boyfriends and 3 engagements and about 1000 life events I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin. 2

And from my own perspective it's quite obvious they were in an open relationship when she was on the road in 2012-2013 so he probably met someone else at some point. But yeah in this year of our good lord 2025, absolutely not.
NemoMyName 931
Yes, why not? Gaga it's very creative, and the things she lived with him can still inspiring some lyrics, not neccessarily in the "love" or "melancholic" side of things like Born This Way. It can be used in a whole new perspective. Old loves, old pains, and old experiencies just don't dissapear because you have a new partner.
Robo Ga 15,334
omg I just remembered I read Luc Carl's book in 2012... what kind of stanhood delusion did I have to be doing all that in junior high school 🤖⚡️
Bronco 12,912
Ngl I buy the theory that DCT is about her dad. And honestly, I feel like LoveDrug is the depressed version of Applause. Applause is the manic phase/the high. LoveDrug is the depressive phase/the crash.
LauraPalmer 1,535
i think Don’t Call Tonight is about her dad. the only song i could’ve seen being about Luc was Vanish Into You because i interpreted it as a song about a relationship that didn’t work out but Gaga debunked that with her IG post about Michael lol but i mean, it’s possible, sometimes you are still inspired by certain people and times in your life even if you’ve moved on. he was a huge part of her life when she was playing in bars and writing The Fame and she’s said in recent interviews that she really misses that community. i’m a woman, i insist, it’s my life ♀

Lord Axel 829
Definitely not since after ARTPOP, Brooklyn Nights was probably the last song related to him tbh ʟɪᴠɪɴɢ ᴛʜᴇ ɢᴏʟᴅ ᴀɴᴅ ᴛʜᴇ ꜱɪʟᴠᴇʀ ᴅʀᴇᴀᴍ ϟ†▽✰𝒿 ~Ɐ

She speaks a lot about being alone and looking in the mirror and seeing a different persons eyes. I think this is a woman vs. self song. I always saw it this way, or also thought it could maybe be about her relationship with her father because I know they had a rough patch. "at the girl staring back at me, they're your eyes' makes me think it could be talking to a family member. Don't Call Tonight is such a good song in my opinion
