On the other hand, the industry is alive. people are buying. the upside is high. and someday, this will be broken by someone. hope it happens soon.

Historic. It’s interesting to see that she has almost the same, or even fewer, variants than all the other pop girlies

Congrats to the fans’ loyalty. Insane to see these numbers in 2025.

Apparently Adele still holds the record for first week sales worldwide which is 5.7m. Is that correct?

I can't find all of the other countries just yet but Adele did almost double Taylor in the UK and almost 3x in France. So if that trend continues with Germany/Canada and so on, Adele may keep worldwide record.

As far as I know, the album already has 30 variants, and TTPD was at 40+. I can't name any other artist who has as many.

Soooo gaggy, love seeing huge numbers like that lmfaoo just puts me in awe. So many people listening

Only a small portion of that 4 million represents unique listeners. The majority comes from roughly 200K–400K dedicated fans who purchased up to 35 copies each. It’s still an impressive achievement, but the numbers can give a misleading impression of her overall reach.

I remember a UK indie record store saying that TTPD alone made them like £100,000+ in profit via sales.

RSD 2025 saw a 72% sales increase on the previous year that stores attributed to the ltd ed Fortnight 7".

Like I am massively critical of her fomo marketing - but at the very least, I'm glad the indie record stores are benefitting.

Lol I wouldn't be surprised if her team bought a huge chunk to bump the numbers, just like I feel like this is something she would do. And I am mid level swiftie!

The real question is how many people are actually buying music.

It's very different to have 3M people buy one physical album variant vs 100K people buying 30 variants.

My other issue is unfortunately all this activity is only benefiting one artist. No artist gets close to this and it's not because of their lack of talent or the quality of their music.

True but most artists fans wont be different varients of the same album

Also most fans stream songs all day to get numbers up

Brat had more than 30 variants, it’s normal for TLOASG to have slightly more since there’s higher demand
